This fall, H&M expands its tradition of designer collaborations with a new partnership featuring Lorena Saravia, one of Mexico’s most celebrated contemporary voices in fashion. The 29-piece collection, arriving in October, blends structure with softness, and tradition with modern appeal — a balance that defines Saravia’s design language.

Saravia looked to her roots for this collaboration, weaving in elements of Mexican culture that feel both personal and universal. Western-inspired suede boots and wide-brim hats nod to regional style, while handcrafted details reference artisanal heritage. Accessories carry a deeper narrative: lion-shaped earrings and buttons, modeled after pieces once belonging to her grandmother, highlight how fashion can hold memory and generational meaning.

The designer has often spoken about wanting her work to express a distinctly Mexican identity — refined in its cuts, grounded in quality, and always contemporary in outlook. She has also stressed the importance of women’s presence in a culture frequently described as masculine, noting that her collections are meant to empower and inspire.

What makes this collection stand out is its use of contrast. Draped fabrics are set against sharply tailored silhouettes; timeless staples are refreshed with a touch of craft. Statement outerwear, cowboy boots, denim jackets, and open-back gowns sit side by side, creating a versatile wardrobe that moves easily between daywear and evening. A restrained palette of black, ivory, and blush is energized with suede tones that echo Mexico’s desert landscapes.

Beyond individual pieces, the collaboration tells a story of identity, heritage, and modern femininity. Rather than leaning on nostalgia alone, the collection brings forward a vision that is accessible, wearable, and deeply personal — a reflection of Saravia’s ability to translate culture into contemporary style.
